General Home Inspection Training - 128 hours (90 hrs. + 38 Hrs.)
This 128 hour course is designed for the student who will utilize the Texas Real Estate Commissions 3-Tier process to become a Licensed Inspector. Ideally the student already has a Sponsoring Professional Inspector and has applied to the Texas Real Estate Commission to become an Apprentice Inspector. Upon completion of this course the student should be able to pass the Inspector Level exam and be prepared for the practical inspection training under the supervision of the Sponsoring inspector.
Home Inspection Education Alternative 328 Hour Training Program
This Professional Inspector Education Alternative Course meets all the requirements of the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) to become a Professional Inspector without the need for Sponsorship. This course includes the 128 hour "Basic" General Home Inspector Training (online / correspondence education) with an additional 200 hours of Training (online / correspondence).
Home Inspection Education / Experience Alternative 448 Hour Training Program
This Professional Inspector Education / Experience Alternative Course meets all the requirements of the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) to become a Professional Inspector without the need for Sponsorship. This course includes 328 hours of online / correspondence education and 120 hours of Classroom and Field Training. The 120 hour / 12-day class consists of 60 hours of classroom / lab environment and 60 hours of practical field experience involve numerous home inspections.
Classroom / Field / Lab Inspection Course - 120 hours
This course can be taken by anyone wanting to learn the practical aspects of home inspection or may be taken to satisfy the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) 120 hour Professional Inspector Education / Experience Alternative requirements. This course focuses on methodology and inspection techniques that when followed can allow the student inspector to be prepared to begin an inspection career with all of the practical tools required. This course involves classroom / lab work in order to understand the practical fundamentals of home inspection. Actual houses are inspected and training in report writing is provided. The fundamentals of home inspection and report writing are required for successful completion of this course. At the end of this course, along with successful passing of the TREC examination, the student will be ready to begin a successful career in home inspection.
Advanced Home Inspection Education Alternative 200 Hour Training Program
This Advanced Professional Inspector Education Alternative Course includes the 200 hour "Advanced" Home Inspector Training Course Material (online / correspondence) necessary to meet all the requirements of the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) to become a Professional Inspector without the need for Sponsorship. This course can be taken by its self or along with the 128 hour General Home Inspection Training Course.
Follow an experienced professional home inspector on a live fee paid inspection.
Licensing with the Texas Real Estate Commission
In order to perform an inspection for a buyer or seller of real estate property must be licensed as an inspector by TREC. The Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) has 3 licensing levels and 2 different paths for obtaining your inspection license.
